The long and exhausting day began at 6:00am for young Kyla, whom, upon stumbling into the freezing, goosebump-inducing, not to mention dreary as all hell from a night of evidentially pissing down rain, atmosphere from her warm, cocoon of a bed, soon came to the discovery that she was out of Coffee, and would therefore have a slightly harder time making it to the train station located 40 minutes away.
Only the thought of being in a place where she could relate to near everyone on a epic level (and the thought of new additions to her already geeky as shit bedroom) kept her moving forward.
The sleepiness doubled when young Kyla met up with her equally exhausted friend, James.
After several mishaps and detours, the pair finally managed to buy tickets and get their goddamn asses on a train to their destination.
But alas, sleep deprivation will cause mistakes to occur, and it didn't take long for the two tired soldiers to realise they had boarded the wrong train.
Nonetheless they still managed to arrive (eventually), and even managed to pick up a new friend along the way.
IT BEGINS!
At 11 something, something, the three companions finally made it to the Olympic park (they followed the trail of weirdos -otherwise known as Cosplayers- and transvestites to find it - not even joking), and then began their journey in finding out where the hell to buy freakin' tickets to actually get inside the place.
A clique, stereotypical nerd-bashing bully's wet dream..... And that's only a small portion of it.....
Ceasing with the talking in third person crap now...It's starting to give me a headache.
The very first Cosplayers we saw inside.
Boy am I glad I got over my Masklophobia before I came to this event....
BONK! He was awesome....
The guy told us these were weapons..... But I'm not so sure.....
So much merchandise~♪
SO MUCH MERCHANDISE~!
If there's one thing that tickles my non-existent pickle it's good Cosplayers, and DAMN was he a good Cosplayer [insert creepishly happy noises here]
I have nothing to say to this...
I still have nothing to say to this....
Even the Mcdonald's and Subway were packed with the 'alternative' genre of human beings. SUBWAY. PACKED. Crazy innit?
Pyramid Head ❤
Celty ❤
You can't really see here, but this Seras had a flippin' HUGE gun ❤❤❤
See? What'd I tell you. Flippin' HUUUUUGGGGEEE. I wanna lick it.
Outside the convention, right before we left. Amazing Bioshock cosplayers.
Apparently the girl in the middle made the costumes.
All the best costumes are hand-made.... I wish I had a sewing machine -sniffs-

Yeah so, overall, Supanova was pretty much exactly how I thought it would be, with the exception of more good looking people and not as many fatass basement dwellers, weirdly enough (not that I'm complaining mind you).
Leaving it at that, I look forward to posting more pictures in a month from my beloved Smash!
Peace out nerdlings- ah, I mean, READERS じゃゐ

Sorry just had to giggle when you and James realised you had caught the wrong train. LOL SO which train did you catch? The one to Orange? lol
ReplyDeleteThe mountain one.... We only had to catch a 5 minute train back to the stop beforehand but it was a bit of a pain in the ass haha.
DeleteHi General Awesome,
ReplyDeleteA funny and original post. I like your coverage of the 'nerds' and the supanova subculture. I have enjoyed the updates and seeing the progression of your ideas. This is a topic that could be explored and extended upon in the future. I am looking forward to seeing what develops next semester.
Well done!
